Provenance: This engine was part of ex-shop stock purchased at the Excalibur auction in September and December 2021
Body condition: Built from a Gladiator brass kit to a good standard. Frame is "square". Worm and gear show little wear. Decent sized open motor. Painted and weathered to a good standard, with coal added. No instructions. Photo 11 shows number 1689 in 1949, with her old wartime black and running in her previous LNER livery.
Motion: It runs smoothly at all speeds and the motor pulls a low healthy amperage under load. A video of the engine running is available at my shop
